Practice of Interventional Pain Procedures bill introduced
House Study Bill 3 and Senate Study Bill 1055 have both been introduced in the Iowa legislature. The bills would establish requirements for a person who practices chronic interventional pain procedures and specifically lists those procedures.
Board of Nursing Offers 2012 Legislation
The Iowa Board of Nursing is moving forward with legislation for the 2012 session that if passed, would result in a substantial expansion in the Board of Nursing’s ability to define and expand the practice of nursing by eliminating the requirement for consent from the medical professions. The Board of Medicine has voted unanimously to oppose this legislation.
